A team of employees from the P&A Group joined forces with other local companies and schools to take part in a Spring Clean litter pick to help keep Mold tidy. The team was joined by the P&A Panda and Springy, the Mold Town Council’s Spring Clean mascot. Together, they collected 15 bags of rubbish and one large metal sign in just one hour.

Jane Evans, Events and Community Engagement Officer for Mold Town Council, said:

A huge thank you to everyone at the P&A Group for taking part in the Spring Clean. Over the whole four day event we had 411 volunteers helping from a variety of businesses and schools. It was great to see so many volunteers out and about collecting over 200 bags of rubbish along with a number of items which had been ‘fly tipped’ including a fridge freezer!

Commenting on the initiative, Rhys Hughes, Strategic Development & Supply Chain Director at P&A Group, said:

Part of the P&A Group Mission Statement is ‘contributing to the communities in which we serve’, so it was great to see so many volunteers from the Group helping collect rubbish around the business park.

For over 10 years Mold Town Council has run an annual spring clean during which many local companies, schools and members of the public turn out to clean up the public area in which they live and work. The P&A Group has been an avid supporter of this initiative, with employees and the P&A Panda taking part every year to do their bit for the environment and to keep Mold tidy.

The P&A Group comprises The Woodworks Garden Centre and Café in Mold, Zest 4 Leisure, a leading supplier of award winning timber garden products, P&A Pallets & Packaging, and St Andrews Business Centre for leased and virtual offices.
