As P&A Group celebrates more than 40 years in business, its commitment to supporting the local environment and community remains as strong as ever.

Volunteers from the business took part in the annual Mold Town Spring Clean, which returned for its 15th year and ran from Monday 11th May to Friday 22nd May 2026.

Founded in 1985, P&A Group has always taken pride in supporting the communities in which it operates while championing sustainable and responsible business practices. Staff from across the Group came together to clear litter and waste from areas surrounding the company’s sites in Mold, demonstrating their shared commitment to maintaining a cleaner, greener community.

The team was surprised and disappointed by the volume of litter collected from the Bromfield Industrial Estate, reinforcing the importance of continued environmental awareness and community action.

Their efforts were warmly appreciated by members of the local community, who thanked the volunteers for helping to keep the area clean and cared for.

Andrew Baker, Managing Director of P&A Group, said:

“It’s fantastic to see our staff getting involved and showing how much they care about our local area. As a family run business rooted in the community for more than 40 years, we believe it’s important to play our part in protecting and improving the environment around us.

“The Mold Town Spring Clean is a great example of local people, businesses and organisations coming together to make a practical difference. The enthusiasm shown by our team is something we are incredibly proud of and reflects the values we want to live by as a business.”

The initiative also aligns with P&A Group’s wider commitment to responsible and sustainable business. The Group recently achieved B Corp certification and was also recognised with the Excellence in Sustainability Award at the West Cheshire and North Wales Chamber of Commerce Recognition Awards.

Adding a fun and familiar touch to the initiative, Springy, the Mold Spring Clean mascot, once again teamed up with P&A Panda, the P&A Group mascot. The two mascots first met more than 12 years ago and have continued to promote a cleaner, greener community ever since.

To help monitor the environmental impact of the initiative, all waste collected will be sorted by event organisers, with recyclable materials measured and recorded as part of the event’s ongoing sustainability efforts.

Mold Town Spring Clean is a valued community initiative supported by residents, schools, businesses and local organisations. The event is coordinated by Mold Town Council in partnership with Keep Wales Tidy, Mold Plastic Reduction and Flintshire County Council.
